Cathedral counting down for crawfish
Published 12:03 am Tuesday, April 22, 2014
Spring has arrived, and crawfish are in season. This can only mean one thing … Cathedral’s Crawfish Countdown.
Cathedral School will host the 30th annual Crawfish Countdown. Join us from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday in the school’s cafeteria and center drive.
We will be serving all the fresh, boiled crawfish with trimmings you can eat, along with Pat Sanguinetti’s hot jambalaya and homemade desserts.
In addition to the mouth-watering food, there will be great music and a draw-down for the $5,000 grand prize.
Tickets for this event are available through Cathedral School’s Development Office in advance or at the door the night of the event.
The cost of the ticket is $100, which covers the ticket holder and one guest to a night of eats, drinks, music and a chance to take home some cash.
Second chance insurance is available for an additional $30, and if your name is one of the first 100 drawn, your ticket will be placed back in the drawing for one more chance at the grand prize.
There will also be a takeout option of “Crawfish and trimmings only” for $40 per person.
All takeout orders can be purchased on the night of the Crawfish Countdown between 6 and 7 p.m. These orders will be prepared and packaged for you at the time of your order.
So y’all grab your friends and join us for the 30th annual Crawfish Countdown from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Just a polite reminder, you must be at least 21 years of age to attend this event, and you don’t have to be present to win.
For tickets or questions about this event please, call Cathedral’s development office at 601-445-9844 or email this year’s chairmen Jerod and Sarah Beth Welch at welchsb@bellsouth.net.
We hope to see you all there.
Sarah Beth Welch is chairwoman for the Cathedral Crawfish Countdown.
