Adams County Justice Court Cases
Week of April 11-17:
Cedric Tenner charged with grand larceny. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Christopher McGehee charged with burglary of a commercial building. Case bound over to a grand jury. McGehee was also charged with malicious mischief. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Addis Marshall charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Justin Ferrell charged with grand larceny. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Derrick Batteste pleaded guilty to simple assault.
Adams County Circuit Court Cases
Thursday, April 10:
Henry L. Foster, who was indicted for credit card fraud and placed on one year probation on Sept. 9, 2013, has successfully completed said probation and the charge is dismissed in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court.
Kedtrick Terrell Mazique, who was indicted for grand larceny and placed on one year probation on May 20, 2013, has successfully completed said probation and the charge is dismissed in Judge Sanders’ court.
Wednesday, April 2:
Charles Anderson, who was indicted for simple assault — domestic violence (third offense) and sentenced to six years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections suspended and placed on post release supervision for five years on Oct. 7, 2009, has conformed to the conditions of the post release supervision and has conducted himself in a law-abiding manner. Therefore the post release supervision is terminated in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court.
Ryan Parker, who was indicted for rape and sentenced to 15 years in the MDOC suspended and placed on probation for five years on Oct. 7, 2009, has conformed to the conditions of his probation and has conducted himself in a law-abiding manner. Therefore, his probation is terminated in Judge Johnson’s court.

Friday, April 11:
Erica Letcher, 24, pleaded guilty to amended charge of disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.
Samuel Washington, 26, pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 26 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve two days in jail. Credit given for two days served. Fine set at $698. Bond set at $2,500.
Mario Alberto Canas, 24, found not guilty of careless driving — no proof of defendant operating vehicle.
Hashin Bostic, 21, pleaded guilty to petit larceny. Sentenced to 60 days with 25 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. Credit given for 35 days served. Fine set at $875.
Raymond Dobbels, 49, pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior on each count to run concurrently. Total fine set at $867.63.
Crissie Nicole Turner/Scott, 38, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — second offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 50 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 10 days in jail. Banned from Kmart. Fine set at $673.
Betty Richardson, 27, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 24 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for six days served. Banned from Kmart. Fine set at $573.
Tira Wyeneti Holmes/Blanton, 36, pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Total fine set at $846.51.
Sheva Barker, 20, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 48 hours in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.
Quantay N. Barker, 26, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 48 hours in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.
Arminius C. Evans, 37, pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $623.
Monday, April 14:
Jennifer Jennings Lawrence, 40, pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Total fine set at $847.85.
Brandon Lee Trahern, 19, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473 minus $70 credit for time served. Must pay a fine of $403.
Kendrick Smith pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for three days served. Fine set at $623.
Michael Fort pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve three days in jail. Fine set at $623.
Wednesday, April 16:
Derrick Owens, 26, pleaded guilty to simple assault. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $523 minus $100 suspended. Must pay a fine of $423.
Michelle Reid, 33, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Case dismissed — evidentiary problems with chain of custody.
Jerry Turner, 21, pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $323.
Shenita N. Mosby/West, 37, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Total fine set at $428.83.
Zachary Darnell Carter, 22, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.
