Vidalia — A Vidalia man was arrested on an attempted second-degree murder charge Friday, stemming from an altercation earlier this month where witnesses say he shot at a group of people outside a Belle Grove Circle house, one of who was holding a small child.
Otis J. Frazier, 29, 112 Ralph Road, Vidalia, was arrested on a warrant for attempted second-degree murder and three counts of child endangerment.
According to the affidavit and warrant for arrest, Frazier pulled up in a dark vehicle April 10 and hollered at one of four people standing outside a Belle Grove Circle house.
Frazier then allegedly fired six rounds in the group’s direction before speeding off down Airport Road, according to the court documents signed by Seventh Judicial District Court Judge Kathy Johnson.
One of the four standing in the group was holding a small child, which led to the child endangerment charge. No injuries were reported from the altercation.
A Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy arrested Frazier without incident Friday morning during routine patrol.
Frazier will remain in the Concordia Parish jail with no bond set until his magistrate hearing.
