Clayton — A local church is asking the community to help raise money for a Clayton man’s kidney and pancreas transplant at a Dallas hospital.
Ronnie N. Glasper, 42, of Clayton, was diagnosed with end stage renal disease nearly six years ago.
The disease creates a complete, or nearly complete, failure of the kidneys.
The diagnosis has resulted in Glasper being on dialysis for the last six years.
Glasper said he has been accepted to the transplant list by the Dallas Transplant Institute and Baylor University Medical Center.
“Before I can go forward with the transplant, I need to raise sufficient funds to cover the cost of post-operative care for eight to 12 weeks,” Glasper said.
“The cost of the post-operative care is estimated at $10,000 to $12,000.”
Donations can be made to the Harvest Baptist Church special donations account at Concordia Bank and Trust Company branches.
The account number is No. 1157442.
