NATCHEZ — Services for Darlin Riley Odom Jr., 87, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Adams County Nursing Center, will be at 11 a.m. today at Parkview Church of God with the Rev. Eddie King officiating.

Burial will follow in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Odom was born July 18, 1926, in Richton, the son of Darlin Riley Odom Sr. and Clara May Whittington Odom.

Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his first wife, Pearle Newell Odom; his parents; one brother, Reuben Odom; four sisters, Ruby May Kuykendall, Doris Hinton, Hontense Bennett and Ellar Harvison.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Alma Parrott Odom; three daughters, Carolyn Harvison and husband, David, Elaine Turner and husband, Jacky, and Terri Odom; three stepchildren, Sam Parrott and wife, Carolyn, Frances Scallan and husband, Chuck and Beverly Yeates and husband, Tommy; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jerrry Deepos, Thomas Perry, Tommy Yeates, Sam Parrott Jr., Welden Halford and Gene Anding.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Beech and Brian Hinson.
