DOLOROSO — Services for Edna C. Wilson, 91, of Woodville, who died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, will be at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dandridge Brooks Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Cory Cemetery in Doloroso under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Wilson was born Oct. 4, 1922, in Woodville, the daughter of Jasper and Bessie Stewman Carter.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; her parents; three sons, Woodrow, Joseph and Samuel Wilson; one daughter, Myrtis Wilson; four brothers, James, Clinton, Edward and Cleveland Carter; and five sisters, Mary Dean, Beatrice Dennis, Cleo Givens, Ruth Barnes and Dorothy Kelly.
Survivors include four sons, Arthur Lee Wilson and wife, Bobbie, Thomas Wilson and wife, Deveta, all of Dallas, Lawrence Wilson and wife, Eufelia, of Lawton, Okla. and Hard Wilson and wife, Leasic, of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Christine Earls and husband, George, of Baton Rouge, Bertha Jones of Dallas and Linda Green and husband, Henry, of Gramercy, La.; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Beverly Wilson and Dorothy Wilson, both of Dallas.
