NATCHEZ — Services for Albin Bertics, 77, of Natchez, formerly of Navesink, N.J., who died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Natchez National Cemetery, with full Masonic rites, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Bertics was born June 8, 1936, in Rahway, N.J., the son of Frank Bertics and Anna Simon Bertics.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a past master of Harmony Masonic Lodge No. 1 of Natchez and was a member of the Knights Templer and the Shriners.
He received multiple awards as a real estate broker. He retired from real estate in Monmouth, N.J. in 2001. He enjoyed primitive camping and reenactments at Jefferson College and the Natchez Indian Village.
Mr. Bertics was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 44 years, Carol Ann Bertics.
Survivors include one son, Albin R. Bertics and wife, Laura; one daughter, Suzanne Stead and husband, Randy; five grandchildren, Hannah and Caleb Stead, Ashley, Matthew and Christopher Bertics.
Pallbearers will be masons of the Harmony Lodge No. 1 of Natchez.
