Natchez hosting 700 Episcopalians

This weekend, Natchez will host nearly 700 Episcopalians from all around the State of Mississippi.
We’ll gather at the Natchez Convention Center for powerful worship services, important business sessions and some fantastic fellowship.
I grew up a part of the Episcopal Church in Mississippi, and I haven’t missed one of these annual gatherings since I was a teenager.
Every year, I enjoy the annual address of our bishop, seeing friends and family, worshiping our God and the wonderful offerings of our host city.
Our time together is so much more than business, it’s a holy family reunion.
I’d like to thank the wonderful folks at The Natchez Convention Center, The Natchez Convention and Visitor Bureau and all the wonderful hotels and restaurants that have worked with us as we’ve planned this event.
Natchez has been a wonderful host of this event in past years, and I’m certain this year will be as hospitable as ever.
So if you see a group of visitors this weekend who look especially glad to be in Natchez, they’re likely to be Episcopalians. If you’d like to know more about what makes them tick, then please join us for our Sunday worship service at the convention center at 10 a.m.
The wonderful music, inspired preaching, holy meal and joyous gathering of the faithful will only be enhanced if you’re there.
