Approximately 11 businesses and organizations set-up tables to assist veterans with medical benefits, counseling and financial help. “These events are so important because veterans’ benefits change all the time because of voting in Congress,” Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist for Mississippi Department of Employment Security Kenneth Rushing said. “It’s extremely important for veterans to keep up with their benefits.”
