Two Vidalia residents arrested on meth charges

VIDALIA — Two Vidalia residents were arrested Sunday after Concordia Parish Narcotics Task Force agents discovered a suspected methamphetamine lab inside a Country Meadows Lane house.
Members of the task force received a tip from a confidential informant Sunday regarding the laboratory at the house and obtained a warrant to search the house.
Once inside, agents found the laboratory, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a loaded .38-caliber revolver.
The agents found the suspected methamphetamine hidden in the handle of the refrigerator inside the house.
Johnny P. Thorpe, 44, of 222 Country Meadows Lane, Vidalia, and Kimberly S. Guillory, 45, 422 Myrtle St., Vidalia, were both arrested at the house.
Thorpe was charged with obstruction of justice, possession of scheduled II (methamphetamine), possession of paraphernalia, possession of firearms and possession of controlled dangerous substance, convicted felon in possession of firearm and creation or operation of a clandestine lab.
Guillory was charged with possession of scheduled II (methamphetamine), possession of firearm while in possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, creation of operation of a clandestine lab.
Both remained in the Concordia Parish jail Tuesday evening. Guillory was being held on $95,750 bond and no bond had been set for Thorpe late Tuesday.
