JONESVILLE — A Jonesville woman is being charged with second-degree murder after her sister, who she allegedly shot Sunday afternoon, died in the hospital Monday.

Macy Poole, 19, of Jonesville is being held at the Franklin Parish Detention Center with a bond of $75,000 as Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies investigate the shooting, Catahoula Parish Sheriff James Kelly said.

Deputies responded to the shooting, Kelly said, at approximately noon Sunday on Patten Road in Jonesville.

Macy Poole is alleged to have shot her 21-year-old sister, Tessa Poole, who was taken to Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following the shooting.

Kelly said Tessa Poole was pronounced dead Monday morning at the hospital.

“Two of my detectives are viewing the autopsy reports right now and investigating the case,” Kelly said. “It’s not a matter of whodunit, but more trying to get answers as to the why behind the shooting.”
