The Natchez-Adams County Humane Society will hold its annual membership meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 21 at Rolling River Roasters, located at  408 Main St.

All are welcome to attend, but in order to be eligible to vote, you must have paid your membership dues by Oct. 20. If you paid your membership dues at the 2012 annual meeting, you will be eligible to vote at the 2013 meeting, but now will be the time to renew your membership.

New members of the board of directors will be voted on from a slate of candidates proposed by the NACHS nominating committee to replace outgoing directors.

If you are interested in serving on the NACHS Board of Directors, please notify NACHS no later than Nov. 10 by email at natchezpetadoptions@gmail.com, or you may call at 601-303-0672.

Your board of directors has been hands on and put in many hours this year, but your help is needed.

There are opportunities for participation in everything from animal care to website maintenance.

We will be glad to take your name and assign you to a committee at the meeting. If you cannot be present at the meeting, you can volunteer by sending an email to natchezpetadoptions@gmail.com.

We will give an update on the new shelter at the meeting. Plans and cost issues are being addressed with the architect and contractors at present.

We will also present this year’s budget and financial information along with a report on our transport program.

We hope that you will choose to be an active participant in NACHS during the coming year and will join us at our membership meeting.

There will be a cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres. You may renew your membership or become a new member at the meeting.

We hope to see you at the meeting on Nov. 21.
