Superintendent thanks Concordia voters

On behalf of the Concordia Parish School Board, our employees and students, I would like to say “Thank you” to the voters of Concordia Parish for renewing our 13-mill property tax on Saturday.
This tax generates approximately 1.6 million dollars annually and is used to help fund employee supplements and construction and renovation projects.
It is truly needed in order for our system to continue to make progress as we strive to maintain our buildings and provide competitive salaries for our employees.
Without these, we will be unable to offer quality educational services for our students.
The public can rest assured that we will continue to make good use of these funds and spend them in the most efficient way possible. Thank you once again for supporting our school system and know that we intend to continue to work hard every day for our students.
Paul E. Nelson, Ph.D.
