Consider state as education option

Over the past 10 years, the taxpayers of this county have spent some $500 million educating the children of this county. But when we’re graded, the best rating that we can get is an “F.”
On the other hand, the state seems to have had some modicum of success in taking over and turning around districts, such as ours, with “F” ratings.
So, why shouldn’t we thank those citizens who have tried to serve us, and ask the state to run our school district?
Then we should be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
