VIDALIA — The Vidalia Police Department will have its monthly public forum at 6 p.m. today at the police department.
The forum allows residents to express complaints, general comments and ideas, Assistant Police Chief Bruce Wiley said.
“We just want to hear them out, anything they have to say, we are interested in hearing,” Wiley said.
The forums are regularly scheduled for the last Monday of every month, but Wiley said attendance has been disappointing.
“We’ve actually been doing these meeting for about one year, but we really haven’t had too many people show up,” he said. “All of our officers are there, so we can answer just about any question someone might have. If we can’t fit everyone in the police department, we can always go over to City Hall’s council room.”
