VIDALIA — Tyson Beard went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs as the Concordia All-Stars needed just three innings to defeat the South Franklin All-Stars 17-2 Saturday night at the Sub-district Tournament at the Concordia Parish Recreation District 3 Complex.
Concordia scored seven runs in the bottom of the first and second innings to put this game out of reach in a hurry. South Franklin scored its only two runs in the top of the third inning to make it a 14-2 game, but Concordia responded with three runs in the bottom of the third and the game was called after that.
Michael Williams and Tyrin Jordan each went 2-for-3 with a home run and Gabe Rushing hit a home run for the Concordia All-Stars. Parker Brady, Chase McGraw and Jake Spears each were 2-for-3 for the home team.
