ACSO arrests two for marijuana possession

NATCHEZ — Two Adams County residents were arrested Monday after deputies reportedly found 310 grams of marijuana, 0.1 grams of methamphetamine and 186 promethazine with codeine pills in a Mazique Lane residence.
Keisha LaShaese Johnson, 31, 15 Brentwood Lane, and Renard A. Wimley, 40, 7 Mazique Lane, were both arrested on charges of possession of schedule I substance with intent while in possession of a firearm, possession of schedule II substance (methamphetamine) and possession of schedule V substance (promethazine).
The arrests were made after deputies served a search warrant at 7 Mazique Lane as part of an ongoing drug investigation, an Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said when deputies searched the house they also found seven rifles, two handguns, digital weighing scales, surveillance equipment and $19,350 in cash.
