Church hosting youth conference

The Gospel Believers Ministry is hosting a youth conference titled “Youth United for a United Cause Youth Conference 2013” Friday and Saturday at the St. Peter Baptist Church, which is located at 56 Parker St. The event will begin at noon on Friday.
An evening service will begin at 6 p.m. Friday featuring guest speakers Steven R. Chisley of Greater Works International Ministry of Monroe, La., and pastor Elmo Frye.
A youth musical period will be hosted at 6 p.m. Saturday during the evening service.
The purpose of the conference is to:
-Build faith in Jesus Christ
-Strengthen testimonies
-Develop talents
-Make new friends
-Have fun with youth who share similar beliefs and standards
-Develop leadership skills as they help plan and carry out youth conferences.
Elements of the youth conference include: general sessions, speakers, group meetings, testimony meetings, learning experiences and activities that develop the theme.
Special guests will include Evangelist Patricia Smith, Minister Micheal Anderson of Jackson, Evangelist Paulette Bynum of Tallulah, La., Sister C. Woods and Sister Alice Fletcher of Natchez.
Pastor Elmo Frye and the Combined Choirs, Wayside Light House Love and Holiness Ministry, Forest Aide Baptist Church Youth Department, St. Peter Baptist Church, Youth Department, Gods Glory Ministry, Xscapeville Ministry, vocalist Patricia Smith, Minister Micheal Anderson and Gospel Believer’s, The New Tallulah Church of God in Christ and many more will be making special appearances.
All events and activities are free of charge, and all youth and adults are invited to attend the conference.
