NATCHEZ — Britton & Koontz Bank recently announced the promotion of Gaston Carby to vice president, lending in its Baton Rouge market area.

Carby, who has worked with B&K since 2003, has worked in the areas of relationship manager, credit analyst and mortgage loan originator — all in B&K’s Baton Rouge market.

A 1992 graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School, Carby has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Mississippi.

He has previous work experience as a business and information analyst with Electronic Data Systems of Plano, Texas.

He and his wife, Mollie, have two children.

He is the son of Judge and Mrs. Charles L. Vess and Mr. and Mrs. Philip E. Carby.
