BATON ROUGE (AP) — Louisiana Lottery officials say a Woodville woman won the $1 million Powerball prize from the May 11 drawing.
Samantha Netterville, 29, claimed the prize on Monday at lottery headquarters in Baton Rouge.
Lottery officials said Netterville told them her boyfriend drove her to Baton Rouge to make the claim. She works in St. Francisville, where the winning ticket was sold.
The winning ticket matched all five white-ball numbers but missed the red Powerball number. Netterville received $700,000 after state and federal taxes were withheld.
Lottery officials said nobody won the top jackpots in the multistate Powerball and Louisiana Lotto drawings on Saturday.
