FAYETTE — Shirley Ellis-Stampley has been named the Community Health Center’s outstanding executive director of the year.

Ellis-Stampley works at Jefferson Comprehensive Health Center. She has been employed with Community Health Center for 42 years — the longest tenure of any CHC executive director in the state of Mississippi.

Before serving as the executive director of her CHC, she held various positions within the organization one of which was the chief financial officer.

She is described by her peers as having strong and proven leadership skills and is known for her dedication and dependability.

She was recognized by her peers of the Mississippi Primary Health Care Association during its 26th annual conference, April 3-5, at the Hollywood Casino & Conference Center in Bay St. Louis.
