Hobdy named co-owner, VP of insurance company

NATCHEZ — Stephens & Hobdy Insurance in Natchez recently announced that Tate Hobdy has become a co-owner and vice president.
Hobdy has been a part of the team at Stephens & Hobdy since 2009 specializing in commercial property and casualty in industries such as health care, logging and timber, hospitality and energy.
He worked at Southern States Insurance in Atlanta before returning to join the family agency in 2009.
Outside of work, Hobdy is an active community member. He is an active board member of the Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce and the Great Mississippi River Balloon Race Commission. He is also the chairman of the Natchez-Adams County Recreation Commission and is actively involved with the Natchez Rotary Club. He is a former participant in Leadership Natchez.
Hobdy attended Cathedral High School in Natchez before receiving his degree at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. He enjoys backpacking, kayaking, soccer, tennis and volleyball. He is also an instrument rated private pilot.
