ROXIE — Services for Geraldine LaShaun Pernell-Bass, 37, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Baylor Hospital in Garland, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Garden City near Roxie with the Rev. Frank Jenkins officiating.

Burial will follow at Kettley Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Ms. Bass was born July 16, 1975, in Natchez, the daughter of Jerry and Patricia Ann Brown Pernell.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Emile and Lurenia Brown; paternal grandparents, Elree and Ollie Pernell; one sister, Cynthia Pernell; and one aunt, Glenda Brown.

Survivors include one daughter, Jaccaicia Bass; one son, Jonathan Bass; her parents; four sisters, Katrina Pernell, Andrea Pernell, Audrea Pernell and Wyneka Pernell; one brother, Jerry Pernell Jr.; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
