BAY ST. LOUIS — Prayer services for Shannon Gray Goetzman, 43, of Bay St. Louis, who died Thursday, March 28, 2013, in Bay St. Louis after loosing a courageously fought battle of cancer for the past four years, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis.

A private burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Edmond Fahey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Goetzman was born in Natchez and was a resident of the Mississippi Coast for the past 15 years.

Shannon was employed by the Bay/Waveland School District and received the Teacher of the Year Award for the 2012-2013 school year.

She was a loving, caring wife, mother, sister and friend to many and will be missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Goetzman was preceded in death by her father, Sam Gray.

Survivors include her loving husband of 24 years, Robert “Bobby” Goetzman; her three wonderful children, Lauren Goetzman, Chad Goetzman and Ashley Goetzman, all of Bay St. Louis; her mother, Virginia Grainger of Natchez; two brothers, Derrek Gray of Natchez and Dayton Gray of Slidell, La.; one stepbrother, Malcolm Joseph of Slidell; one stepsister, Christina Joseph Storslett of Texas; and one grandchild on the way, Olivia Blair Sick.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Relay for Life-American Cancer Society, Attn: Jennifer Henderson, 105 Highway 90, Waveland, MS 39576.
