VIDALIA — Services for Allie Freeman Prunty Jr., 59, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at his residence, will be at noon today at Vidalia Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Herrington officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Prunty was born Dec. 7, 1953, in Ferriday, the son of Allie and Lorraine Prunty. He was employed by Hydrocarbon Corporation of Natchez as a truck driver.

Mr. Prunty was a member of Vidalia Missionary Baptist Church; Guide for Giles Island; and a member of Men Brotherhood at Vidalia Missionary Baptist Church.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; one daughter, Cassie Souderes and husband, Bubba, of Natchez; three sons, Ashley Prunty and wife, Ashley, Andy and Alan and wife, Malissa, all of Vidalia; one brother, Kenny and wife, Peggy, of Vidalia; one sister, Barbara Emfinger and husband, John, of Bentonia; and 10 grandchildren, Robby Nolan, Matt Souderes, Olivia Tingle, Austin Tingle, Noah Ferrington, Bradford Prunty, Drake Prunty, Charley Prunty, Kaycie Reeves and Addyson Prunty.

Pallbearers will be Ken Bates, Raymond Mitchell, Jimmy Wilson, Billy Wilson, Bobby Wilson and Stanley Wilson.

Honorary pallbearer will be Art Muñoz.
