NATCHEZ — Services for Willie Mae Cupstid, 85, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Victor Stewart officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery beside her beloved husband, Edven E. Cupstid, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cupstid was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Mira, La., the daughter of Arthur Frank and Abbie Mae Calloway. She was a member of Parkview Church of God in Natchez.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Her memory will be forever cherished by those she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edven E. Cupstid; one brother, Edward F. Calloway; one grandson, Richard Alan Cupstid; and one son-in-law, Arthur Swanson.
Survivors include two daughters, Mollie Swanson of Ferriday and Beverly Darden and husband, Joe, of Vidalia; three sons, David Cupstid and wife, Bonnie, of Ferriday, Richard Cupstid and wife, Peggy, and Edward Cupstid and wife, Laverne, all of Vidalia; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
