MEADVILLE — Services for Margie B. Sullivan, 89, of Meadville, who died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Meadville Methodist Church with the Rev. David Cox and the Rev. Pat Sullivan officiating.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Sullivan was born Oct. 27, 1923, in Meadville, the daughter of Herbert R. and Margie Kate Cain Babington. She was a retired school teacher and a former employee of the U.S. Forrest Service in Meadville.
Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Meadville Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Vern Sullivan Sr.; one son, William “Bill” Woodrow Sullivan; and two grandchildren, Cole Freeman and William Woodrow Sullivan II.
Survivors include five sons, Thomas “Bo” V. Sullivan Jr. and wife, Deborah, Herbert S. Sullivan and wife, Sue, Rex B. Sullivan, Pat Sullivan and wife, Leonide, all of Meadville, and Leonard Sullivan and wife, Elaine, of St. Francisville, La.; three daughters, Cindy Sullivan Roberson and husband, Tim, Judy Sullivan Oglesby and husband, Kenneth, and Teresa Sullivan, all of Meadville; one brother, Herbert Babington Jr. and wife, Betty, of Slidell, La.; one sister, Mary Ann Barlow of Maryville, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a loving caregiver and friend, Marion Leggett.
Pallbearers will be Chris Sullivan, Grant Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, Frank Sullivan, Jeff Barlow and Sanford Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Paul Sullivan, Blaine Freeman, Stuart Babington, Jimmy Barlow and C.L. Leonard.
