NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Mary Frances Boyett Barnes, 66, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 4, 2013, at her residence, will be at noon Thursday at the Natchez National Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Barnes was born May 21, 1946, in Quitman, Ga., the daughter of Willie D. Boyett and Frances Cathryn Mims Boyett.
Mrs. Barnes worked in the medical field as an insurance coder for a number of years. Although born in Quitman, she grew up in Thomasville, Ga. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Barnes; former husband and father of her children, William “Peanut” Cornwell; one brother, James “Jimmy” Olin Boyett; and her grandparents, Delma and May Boyett and Jack and Susie Mims.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Cornwell Sciara and husband, David, of Biloxi and Lisa Cornwell Weiss and husband, Blake, of Lufkin, Texas; one son, Allen Cornwell Jr. of Natchez; one sister, Beth Boyett of Thomasville; four grandchildren, Lyndsy Myers and husband, John, Brittney Jones and husband, Josh, Kristen and Dustin Johnson; four step-grandchildren, David, Daniel and Jessica Sciara and Will Johnson; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Johnson, John Myers, Tommy Johnson, Johnny Myers, Blake Weiss and David Sciara.
