Looking Around with NGC and Grayson

With hints of warmer weather right at your front door, what would be a better time to venture out for a presentation about trips and adventures around Mississippi?
The Ladies of the Natchez Garden Club would like to invite each and every one of you to join us for our March meeting.
On 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, Mr. Walt Grayson of WLBT’s “Look Around Mississippi” and Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s “Mississippi Roads” will be joining us to tell a few tales at Magnolia Hall on the corner of Pearl and Washington streets. Each of Grayson’s shows help his many viewers wander through Mississippi to find a new treasure in local arts, interesting histories, scrumptious eats and intriguing Mississippians.
After a quick business meeting, Grayson will take the stage to relate a few of “life lessons” he has picked up along the many winding roads and intricate tales of Mississippi.
Being the same familiar face that graces our living rooms with his interesting journeys, Grayson will personally relate some of the inside stories he has experienced over the years.
He will even tell us all about his love of Natchez and his time spent in our famous City Cemetery, whether for the adventure or by his own mistake with the time.
As one of Mississippi’s very own story tellers, he is also the author of four books relating many historical facts and personal experiences over the years and at almost every corner of the Magnolia State.
This program is sure to be a real delight for everyone that stops by!
As always, be sure to bring items for the Stew Pot and the shelter.
This month, we are collecting cans of green beans go help them prepare for a fantastic Easter Sunday lunch.
Do not forget to bring hygiene products for the Women’s Shelter, either.
Be sure to call the Natchez Garden Club office by noon today to make your reservation for lunch at 601-443-9065, or you can send them in to ntzgardenclub@bellsouth.net.
We look forward to seeing you all there and joining us during Walt Grayson’s entertaining and exciting presentation about our favorite state.
Maybe his stories of adventures and journeys will spark your very own spring time excursions to look around Mississippi!
Jennie Guido is the publicity chair for the Natchez Garden Club.
