NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Giuseppe Serio, 74, of Natchez, who died peacefully at his residence Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Giuseppe Serio de Lucia was born April 26, 1938, in Mugnano del Cardinale, Italy, the son of Antonio Serio and Angela Serio de Lucia. He immigrated to Venezuela in 1958 at the age of 20 where he met his wife Carmen Hilaria Martinez.

Giuseppe was a devout and faithful Christian man. He dedicated his life to the service to God. He was also a loyal husband and a loving father. He placed his children in an American missionary school in Venezuela so that they could have educational opportunities in this country. Giuseppe and his wife came to live in Natchez two years ago to be with his children in this country.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Maria Serio Di Bernardo.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Angela Serio, Jose Serio and Valentino Serio; three grandchildren, Carmen Serio, Carrie Serio and Luke Serio; and four siblings, Daniel Serio, Antonio Serio, Gaetanna Serio and Valentino Serio.
