JONESVILLE — Services for Lois Geraldine Cotten, 89, of Harrisonburg, who died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville with the Rev. Vernon Powell and Keith Rush officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cotten was born Oct. 23, 1923, the daughter of John Louis Cotten and Ida Powell Rush. She was a homemaker and a member of Meyers Bend Pentecostal Church.
Mrs. Cotten was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Roy Monroe Cotten; her parents; six brothers, Luther Rush, Arnie Rush, Winford Rush, Earl Rush, Fred Rush and Morris Rush; and four sisters, Birdie Lee Thompson, Pinkie Barron, Ruby Barron and Esther Nugent.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Cotten of Harrisonburg; three granddaughters, Larisa Holley and Donna Rutledge and husband, Bruce, all of Harrisonburg, and Alisa Boothe and husband, Ray, of Enterprise, La.; one great-grandson, Eli Rutledge; and one great-granddaughter, Rebecca Rutledge.
Pallbearers will be Eli Rutledge, Bruce Rutledge, Ray Boothe, Clifton “Skip” Jackson, Ray Roulton Jr. and Dewayne Beauchamp.
Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, J.W. Barron Jr., Tommy Barron, Bill Barron, Clif Rush, Gary Pentecost, Jeff Pentecost, Larry Cotten and Ricky Cotten.
