LIBERTY — Wet weather played the role of spoiler on opening day for the Adams County Christian School baseball team.
ACCS’s matchup with Amite School Center was suspended in the bottom of the fourth inning because ofrain. The Rebels were trailing 9-3 at the time the game was put on hold.
Rebels head coach Hunter McKeivier said the two would try to resume play Friday, when the Rebels scheduled to host ASC for a 6:30 p.m. matchup. Monday’s game was originally scheduled to be played at ACCS, and Friday’s game at ASC, but the schools swapped the home-and-home to accommodate the ACCS soccer team hosting a playoff game.
