GLOSTER — Services for Major Jones Perry Jr., 69, of Crosby, who died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bernard Waites officiating.
Burial will follow at Enloe Cemetery near Crosby under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the funeral home.
Mr. Perry was born April 12, 1943, in Wilkinson County, the son of Major Jones Perry Sr. and Juanita Metcalfe Perry. He was retired from Joan of Arc Canning Company in St. Francisville, La., as a maintenance worker.
He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Mary George; and one brother-in-law, Donald George.
Survivors include his wife, Tracy Kennedy Perry; one daughter, Lisa Perry; one son, Major Perry III; one stepson, Jason Alton Exelby; one stepdaughter, Danielle Roberts; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; his mother; and one sister, Irene Toney and husband, Quinn.
The family thanks Dr. Barry Tillman, Dr. Jeffrey Anderson, Dr. Marc Taylor of the BHU Unit and the nursing staff at Natchez Regional Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care they showed.
