FERRIDAY — Services for Louis Leonard Fisher, 84, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, in Vidalia, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with Casey Young officiating.
Burial will follow at Dewey Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Fisher was born June 7, 1928, the son of Major and Althea Fisher. He was a commercial fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Larence Simpson, Nobile Simpson, Woodrow Simpson and Henry Simpson; and one sister, Viola Denny.
Survivors include one brother, Malcom Fisher; one sister, Ida Simpson; and a number of nieces, nephews, special friends and everyone at the camp.
Pallbearers will be “Pa Bone” Laprairie, Bud Chaudoin, Greg Bergeron, J.L. Simpson, Johnny Vead and Mark Cummings.
Honorary pallbearers will be “Rabbit” Robert Esteve, Dalton Coleman, Hunter Smith, John Parker, Mike Esteve, Mike Morace, Sheriff Kenneth Hedricks and Tony Mulvihill.
