NATCHEZ — Services for Vera Dossett Grissinger, 87, of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at her residence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dennis Flach officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Grissinger was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Hattiesburg, the daughter of Lewis A. Dossett and Annie McDonald Dossett.
She was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, the Newcomers Club, and the Natchez Garden Club.
Mrs. Grissinger was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn R. Grissinger; six siblings, Curtis Dossett, R.B. Dossett, Roland Dossett, Mary D’Ingianni, Sue Kasmierski and C. E. Dossett; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Allen Dossett, Randy Dossett, Guy Dossett, Bobby Dossett, Sterling Dossett, and Will Warren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Dossett and Billy Tew.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her sitters: Phyllis Lee, Myra Freeman, Amy Hall, Camellia Hospice, and Anna Laura Orr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Covenant Presbyterian Church.
