FERRIDAY, La. — Services for Floye Irene Goodwin, 78, of Ridgecrest, who died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Willis Knight Medical Center in Shreveport, La., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Curtis Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Goodwin was born June 17, 1934, in Norphlet, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Edward Sikes; mother, Clora Swanner Beach; two brothers, Edward Sikes and Leon Sikes; one sister, Mary Franklin; three grandsons, Lucas Earl Goodwin, Nicholas Ray Herron and Kory Buttross Goodwin; one granddaughter, Sadie Elizabeth Goodwin.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald Goodwin and wife, Brenda, of Waterproof, La., Dale Goodwin and wife, Karen, of Pace, Fla., and Robert Goodwin and wife, Pauline, of Sicily Island, La.; two daughters, Lois Irene Fuller of Ridgecrest and Cheryl Lee Goodwin of Sicily Island; one sister, Faye Tobin of Calif.; five grandsons, Freddie Fondren, Ray Goodwin, Van Goodwin, Chris Herron, and Zachary Goodwin; two granddaughters, Kimberly Goodwin and Kara Goodwin; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ray Goodwin, Chris Herron, Van Goodwin, Zachary Goodwin, Fred Fondren, Clint Price, Shan Price and Charles Fondren.
