NATCHEZ — Services for William Jerrol Cox, 66, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Billy Wallace officiating.
Burial will follow at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Cox was born October 1946, in Natchez, the son of Jimmy and Paralee Cox. He was retired from the Concordia Parish Correctional Facility.
Jerrol was a veteran, having served in Vietnam for two years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tommy Joe and Perry Cox; and one sister, Mary Jenkins.
Survivors include one son, Michael Cox and wife, Summer; one daughter, Katie Kruger; five grandchildren, Trane Cox, Katelyn and Haley Kruger, Graham Carver and Mckinsey Moncrief; three sisters, Alma Poole and husband, Eddie, Pam Cox and husband, Clark, and Jennifer Wadlington and husband, Kevin; three nieces; and four nephews.
Pallbearers will be Layton Poole, Tommy Poole, Daryl Morace, Eddie Waltman, Jeff Ferguson and Cory Wadlington.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Poole, Don Bryant, Kevin Wadlington, Cole Wadlington, Doyle Morace and Clark Burkette.
