FERRIDAY — Services for Charles P. “Chip” Bolyer Jr., 37, who died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in Vidalia, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Chip Bolyer was born Feb. 20, 1975, in Natchez, the son of Charles P. Bolyer Sr. and Judy Bolyer. He was a truck driver for a number of companies and a Siemens Millwright supervisor for 11 years. He was also a member of the Local Union 303 and Local Union 1263.
Chip was on the board of directors for Vidalia Girls Softball League and enjoyed coaching and attending his children’s activities. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping with the kids and riding his motorcycle.
Chip was a very family oriented man and enjoyed family holidays and cookouts.
He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandfather, E.D. Bolyer; maternal grandmother, Catherine Beach; maternal great-grandparents, Henry B. and Floriece Cooley; paternal great-grandmother, Leola Button; two nephews, Danny Perry and Hunter Bolyer; and one great-nephew, Matthew Britt.
Survivors include his wife, Tywanna Raley Bolyer; one son, Jakob Bolyer of Ferriday; two daughters, Skylar and Karlie Bolyer, both of Ferriday; his mother of Vidalia; paternal grandmother, Susie Bolyer of Ferriday; maternal grandfather, Bobby Beach of Vidalia; two sisters, Catherine Perry of Vidalia and Deborah Bolyer of Mississippi; three nieces, Lucy Perry, Meghan Bolyer and Kelsey Harrigill; two nephews, Michael and Chance Bolyer; one great-niece, Katelyn Britt; four great-nephews, Hugh Hedrick, NiQueaux Harrigill, Charlie Perry and Jaiden Britt; and special friend of the family, Mike Byrd.
