FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Kathryn Ann Kiser, 77, of Ridgecrest, who died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Hill Top Nursing Home in Pineville, La., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kiser was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Matewan, W. Va., the daughter of Harold Deskins and Dorothy Mae Deskins. She was an office nurse and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Kathryn had a special affection for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bernie Kiser; her parents; one sister, Loretta “Jabby” Henderson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter Kiser, Virgil Kiser, David Butler Kiser, Fred Kiser, Bill Sisk, Russell and Ruby Norris and Jim and Nellie Craig.

Survivors include one son, Rusty Kiser and wife, Pam, of Vidalia; one daughter, Beth Flaherty and husband, Robert, of Pineville; two grandsons, Russ Kiser and wife, Letty, and Barrett Kiser and wife, Aly; two granddaughters, Kate Flaherty and fiancé, Austen, and Jessica Flaherty; two great-grandchildren, Maddy and Adrian Kiser; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Rosemary Kiser, Frank and Vonceil Kiser, Donald and Cecelia Kiser, Erres Kiser, Joan Kiser, June Kiser Sisk and Jim Henderson.
