WOODVILLE — Services for Marie Escher Chapman, 95, of Woodville, who died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Adams County Nursing Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Arokia Savio officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Chapman was born Aug. 9, 1917, the daughter of Joseph Anton Escher and Katherine Cecilia Escher. She was a member of Wilkinson County Homemaker Association, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Thimble and Thread Quilting Guild.
Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Dawson and husband, Vernon, of Woodville; one son, Paul Chapman of Natchez; one sister, Lillian Bailey of Fort Adams; one brother, August Lee Escher of Fort Adams; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wes Dawson, Eric Dawson, Tommy Escher, Craig Escher, Allan Ray Escher and Tony Morris.
