NATCHEZ — Services for Denora F. Pruitt, 58, of Jackson, formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Crossgate River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Ms. Pruitt was born Dec. 17, 1954, in Natchez, the daughter of Jimmy R. Pruitt Sr. and Nancy Cooper. She loved her family and gave her life to God at age 12. She became a prayer warrior later in life through Crossgate Baptist Church in Brandon, where she was a member.
Ms. Pruitt was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Regina Pruitt.
Survivors include her mother of Monroe, La.; her “mama,” Billie Pruitt of Natchez; two brothers, Jimmie L. Pruitt and wife, Samantha, of Vidalia and J.J. Pruitt Jr. of Natchez; two sisters, Lynn Holcomb and husband, Ferrell, of Mesquite, Texas and Chrissie Pruitt of Natchez; five nephews, Kenneth Waters, Aubrey Storey, J.J. Pruitt III, Tony Duplechin and Samuel Pruitt; three nieces, Candace Duplechin, Kayla Pruitt and Larra Pruitt; seven great-nieces and nephews; and two very close friends in Christ, Jackie Luckie and Karen McNeely, both of Brandon.
Pallbearers will be Audrey Storey Jr., Kenneth Waters Jr., Samuel Pruitt, Adam Sturdivant, Jason Sweeney and Barry Lambert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Bailey, Ferrell Holcomb, Larry Pruitt, J.J. Pruitt, Tony Duplechin and Johnny Twist.
