NATCHEZ — Services for Julia Elizabeth Blanton, 90, of New Orleans, formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Zion Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. T. Lynn Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with Order of Eastern Star services at 7:30 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Blanton was a homemaker. She was a member of Queen Ester Chapter No. 1 Eastern Star and Past Grand Matron Adah Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Blanton was also a member of Zion Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church and New Inspirational Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans, serving under the leadership of pastor and founder T. Lynn Robinson.
Survivors include two sons, William A. Blanton of Natchez and Otis Blanton Jr. of Detroit; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
