CLAYTON — Services for Betty Ruth Myers, 75, of Clayton, who died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Clayton, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Clayton Apostolic Church with the Rev. Milton Rushing officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Myers was born Nov. 27, 1937, in Vicksburg, the daughter of Benjamin Frank Ramshur and Dola Mae Ramshur. She was a home care aid and a member of Clayton Apostolic Church.

Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald Ramshur and Jessie Ramshur; and four sisters, Annie Bates, Geraldine Ramshur, Myrtle Ramshur and Vivian Myers.

Survivors include two sons, David Myers and wife, Sharon, of Clayton and Wade Myers and wife, Nichole, of Monterey; one daughter, Shelia Myers of Ferriday; three granddaughters, Lindsey Myers of Ferriday, Samatha Myers of Clayton and Bethany Myers of Monterey; one grandson, Josh Myers of Monterey; one great-grandson, Noah Myers of Ferriday; two sisters, Minnie Wilhite of McMinnville, Tenn., and Opal Vines of Natchez; one brother, Edward Ramshur and wife, Sharon, of Dolthan, Ala.; special friend, Howard Lee Cain of Ferriday; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Walker, Michael Wilkerson, Keith Jordon, Cory Myers, Jerry Myers and Chris King.
