LAKE CHARLES, La. — Services for Stafford Weston Pardue, 23, of Lake Charles, La., who died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at a local hospital, were Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Charles.
Burial followed at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Stafford was born July 20, 1989, in Natchez, and grew up in Lake Charles.
He was a recent graduate of The Ocean Corporation in Houston, Texas where he achieved his goal of ultimate diver training.
Stafford had a passion for bull riding, hunting and diving. He was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and everyone’s real cowboy.
Stafford was known for his smile, laughter and his cowboy hat. Also known as “Woody,” Stafford would go the extra mile for anyone, regardless of how long he had known you. He was a gentleman, confidant and a true friend.
Stafford was one of a kind.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maurice and Margret Cummings of Vidalia; grandfather, Ahmet (Nick) Pardue of Vidalia; and stepfather, Gary Martin of Lake Charles.
Survivors include his mother, Cathy Martin of Lake Charles; his father, Craig Pardue of Vidalia; two sisters, Amanda Snider and Leslie Pardue, both of Lake Charles; one brother-in-law, Chad Snider of Lake Charles; two nieces, Mia and Sophie Snider, both of Lake Charles; grandmothers, Sue H. Pardue of Alexandria, La., and Nancy Shouse of Spring, Texas; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
