FERRIDAY — Services for Lucille Coleman, 77, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Comer Funeral Home with Jamie McCartney officiating.
Burial will follow in Holly Grove Cemetery in Wisner.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Coleman was born April 3, 1935, the daughter of John Glen and Mattie Ophelia Jiles Gray.
Mrs. Coleman was loved by all who knew her, and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her heart, not to leave out her babies, “Bear” and “Pat,” for whom she would do anything.
Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Vernon Alvis “PeeWee” Coleman.
Survivors include three sons, Tony Michael Daniel Coleman of Ferriday, George Coleman and wife, Lisa, of Jonesville and Rickey Coleman and wife, Angel, of Larto; four daughters, Dena McCartney and husband, Jess, of Monterey, Sheila Martin and husband, Mike, of Winnsboro, Kathy Green and husband, James, of Natchez and Barbara Bordelon and husband, RJ, of Jonesville; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister Lillie Mercer of Andrews, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her two babies, “Bear” and “Pat.”
Pallbearers will be Less McCartney, Tommy McCartney, Timmy McCartney, Mike Bordelon, Glen Whittington and Bill Rayborn.
