VIDALIA — Services for Ludie Bell, 90, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Vidalia, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Stephens Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Leon Dixon officiating.
Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bell was born July 26, 1922, in Clayton, the daughter of Wyatt and Alberta Mitchell Wentworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben Bell; and one great-niece she raised as her own daughter, Earnestine Walker.
Survivors include one daughter, Lubertha B. Lyons and husband, Don, of Vidalia; four sisters, Marie Stone of Dallas, Ernestine Johnson of Milwaukee, Wis., Pearl Dixon and Irma J. Griffin of Markham, Ill.; three grandchildren; one great-nephew she raised as her own child, Ernest Walker of Sacramento, Calif.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
