NATCHEZ — Services for Tyrone F. Bernard, 49, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christian Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifton Marvel officiating.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Christian Hope Baptist Church.
Mr. Bernard was born Feb. 21, 1963, in Natchez, the son of Willie Mae Bernard and Tommie Walker. He was a 1981 graduate of North Natchez High School.
Tyrone served in the U.S. Air Force from 1981 to 1987. He was employed by Kimbrell’s Office Supply, J.E. Hicks Distributing Company and DD Package Store.
He was a member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church and he was a Mason.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Fred Watkins Sr.
Survivors include his father of Natchez; three daughters, Natasha Bernard of Savannah, Ga., Da’Nasia Caston and Tyana Bernard; one son, Tyrone Bernard Jr.; one grandson, Marquis Bernard; four brothers, Fred Watkins Jr., Clyde Bernard, Alonzo Bernard Sr. and Carl Lewis, all of Natchez; three sisters, Tina Brooks of Baton Rouge, Debra White of Dallas and Susan Sims of Las Vegas; two stepsisters, Elizabeth Norman and Rita Sago, both of Natchez; special aunt, who was like a mother, Beatrice Lewis; special niece, Tywanda Berry; two special cousins, Willie Campbell Jr. and Shelia Walker; and a number of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Masonic brothers and the Patriot Guard.
