NATCHEZ — Services for Celia “Late” Ware, 92, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. James P. Fallon officiating.

Burial will follow in Morning Star under the direction of Curtis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Ware was born Feb. 16, 1920, in Natchez, the daughter of James Ware and Sarah Lee Elmore Scott. She was a homemaker.

Ms. Ware was Catholic.

She was preceded in death by Dorothy Zakawsky; four brothers, Mannie Weir, Freddie Weir, Herman Weir and Ernest Weir; one sister, Ernestine Weir; two nephews, James “Peter Rabbit” Ware and Rufus Elmore; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Survivors include one brother, Leroy Jackson and wife, Annie, and one nephew, Ronnie Elmore and wife, Sharon.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Elmore, Ronnie Elmore Jr., Kennedy Elmore, Richard Mazique III, Roosevelt Chatman Jr. and Jeremy Elmore.
