NEW ORLEANS — Services for Maple McCoy Williams, 82, of New Orleans since 1965, formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, will be at 7 p.m. today at Second True Love Baptist Church.
A dismissal will be at 8 a.m. Friday from the church, followed by burial at Port Hudson Veterans Cemetery in Port Hudson under the direction of Charbonnet Labat Glapion.
Mrs. Williams was the daughter of Mattie Clark and Clarence Claiborne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Williams; two sons, Arthur Forbes Sr. and Roosevelt McCoy; and four grandchildren, Fernell Chapman, Jason Reynolds, Roosevelt Taylor and Romel McCoy.
Survivors include one daughter, Claudia M. Reynolds and husband, Walter; two daughters-in-law, Melvina McCoy and Cheryl Rivera; two sisters-in-law, Leasther Claiborne and Anna W. Gaines; and seven grandchildren, Arthur Forbes Jr., Delloyd McCoy Sr., Derrick McCoy and wife, Katina, Kehinde “Lynn” Ishangi, April Reynolds, Zadawn M. Riley and husband, Rick, and Melissa Palmer.
