NATCHEZ — Services for Bertha Marie Murray, 83, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at her residence following a lengthy illness, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Murray Temple Church of God In Christ with the Rev. Elijah Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Murray was a retired nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alberta Trumgold Gibson; one brother, Albert Gibson; and one sister, Leona Scott.

Survivors include her husband, Levi Murray; five daughters, Diane Patterson and Shirley Patterson, both of Memphis, Tenn., Betty Fitzgerald and Patricia Kendrick, both of Natchez, Christine Jeffery of Vicksburg; two stepdaughters, Gloria Cue of Atlanta and Shirley Robillard of Baton Rouge; 17 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
